Eric Barbera, Media Moment: Levi's Curve ID Minus the Curve?

Hey all,

So I came across this advertisement for pairs of jeans meant to fit "curvier" women made by Levi's:
I find this ad Problematic for a few glaring reasons:

--The dominating phrase is "All Asses Were Not Created Equal." This establishes a hierarchy and an inequality; in an ad about new jeans that supposedly cater to all body types, shouldn't there be a celebration of equality?

--ALL THE MODELS ARE THIN. Like, really? You're willing to make jeans that accommodate "curvier" women, but you're not willing to show anyone remotely approaching plus size enjoying said jeans, Levi's? C'mon. Seriously, c'mon.

--All the models are white. Where are the women of color? Can they not enjoy better fitting jeans?

Anyway, what do you all think?
