This article does a great job of using something similar to our "media kit" to examine this ad, demonstrating that its success in appealing to liberally-minded consumers is ultimately based on racist/"Orientalist" assumptions. An eye-opening read!
I read that a billboard company refused to place that ad on there billboards in times square.. i think they said "it would make people feel to uncomfortable" Amazing how far these corporations with push xenophobia!
